Lovingly restored with exposed beams and old wooden or tiled-flooring, this listed house has been carefully converted to a comfortable hotel - simple but full of character. The 13th century vaulted cellar is now a charming breakfast room and the 24 bedrooms vary in both size and shape, some with low beams or a slanting roof, others with views over the canal or the neighbouring rooftops. The recently added Executive rooms (supplement) are more spacious and luxurious.
The friendly staff serve drinks in the small bar or outside on the terrace on a fine day, and are happy to recommend a nearby restaurant for dinner. The adjacent little bridge over the canal is a peaceful setting for an evening stroll but you are also just a 10 minute scenic walk to the bustling Market Square and the other main attractions of Bruges.
