P&O’s newest and biggest ferry, the Spirit of Britain, sailed into the port of Dover on Sunday 9th January after crossing the Channel for the first time. At 700ft long and 100ft wide this giant is can take 1,000 cars and 2,000 passengers at one time. AP&O spokesman said “There’s a bit of romance about getting on the ferry. You can change your money and do a bit of shopping”. Can’t you do the same at the Eurotunnel terminal before you board the train and get across the Channel quicker making the most of your short breaks?
